MY ROLE
I was the user interface designer on the Scrum team. The app had been partially designed and developed before being put on hold, and when I started there was very little design documentation other than what had been implemented and some early wireframes. Over the next 2.5 years my work included:
• Creating a style guide and refining and defining the visual language of the app
• Producing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high fidelity mockups
• Providing feedback and recommendations for UX and UI decisions
• Participating in the beta program for gathering feedback
• Introducing improvements to our design processes and developer handoff with Sketch and Zeplin
• Advocating and providing guidance for accessibility beyond the standard visual design aspects
• Designing the logo and providing materials to Marketing
• Writing instructions and making templates for libraries to customize the app themselves
